John and Brian Kelley of John J. Kelley Associates of MD provide ocular services on a regular basis at Apple Hill Eye Center.  John and Brian are dedicated to making the finest custom ocular prostheses, using the highest quality materials and latest techniques.
Services include management of and treatment for:

  • Blind Phthisical Globes
  • Congenital Microphthalmos
  • Congenital Anophthalmos
  • Contracted and difficult to fit orbits
  • Motility peg fitting of porous implants

John is a native of Philadelphia, where he apprenticed under his father, John J. Kelley Sr., BCO, FASO.  John J. Kelley Jr., BCO, BADO, FASO received his Diplomat from the American Society of Ocularists in 1976. John became Board Certified in 1981. He achieved his Fellowship in 1987 and was honored with the Lee Allen Award for distinguished service in 1993.   He has served on the Board of Directors of the ASO for fifteen years in addition to holding the office of Secretary/Treasurer of the ASO for fourteen years. In 1997 John received the 24Th distinguished service Ruedemann Lecture award.  He has also served as Chairman of The National Examining Board of Ocularists.

Brian Kelley, BCO is a native of Maryland where he apprenticed under his father, John J. Kelley Jr., BCO, FASO.  In 2008 he received the Joseph A. LeGrand, Sr. Memorial Lecture award.  In 2009 Brian received his Diplomate from the American Society of Ocularists.  Brian became a Board Certified Ocularist in 2010.
